Mizuno’s new running shoe Wave Ultima 11 Amsterdam is literally and figuratively state-of-the-art. This official TSC Amsterdam Marathon 2019 shoe is the result of a collaboration with the Rijksmuseum. It is inspired by painting The Night Watch (Dutch: De Nachtwacht) by Rembrandt van Rijn.
In honour of 2019 ‘The Year of Rembrandt’.
The Wave Ultima 11 is state-of-the-art due to the palette of excellent running features. The running shoe is designed to give you the smoothest of runs and offers unrivalled cushioning and response. The Wave plate follows the same shape on the lateral and medial areas to ensure an energy efficient heel to toe transition. This will give you maximum energy with every step.
The U4icX technology offers excellent cushioning in the heel, a dual compound midsole and blown rubber in the forefoot that ensure softened toe offs in each and every step. The Mizuno Wave Ultima 11 Amsterdam is a stylish tribute to the most famous artwork of the Netherlands, but also a tribute to all feet that deserve the best of the best running footwear. This makes the Ultima 11 ideally suited for the Amsterdam Marathon.
Versatile and comfortable shoe suitable for all kinds of neutral runners. Comfort with maximum cushioning in the heel, thanks to the U4icX compound. Stable and smooth running experience provided by the Mizuno Wave technology.
Mizuno has developed a design blueprint to engineer shoes that work with your foot throughout the gait cycle.
Inspired by nature, Wave is a unique midsole technology that provides both cushioning and stability.
An engineered approach to minimise the rapid acceleration and decelaration of the foot during transition, creating the smoothest ride possible.
A unique midsole compound providing high comfort and perfomance, while being extremely lighweight.
An evolutionary lightweight midsole that delivers stress-free cushioned rides with high rebounds.
An extremely durable Mizuno carbon rubber that allows for longer wear in high impact areas and gives more traction at the heel strike.
