Ragged Glory at Celtic Connections
Ragged Glory played alongside notable Scottish folk legends, including Ian McCalman, Barbara Dickson and Dick Gaughan, when they gathered to perform an array of songs connected to World War I in a special concert. The show was a massive success. Read more about the sell out concert here.
"I was particularly impressed by the singing, which combined powerful solos, robust melody and beautiful harmony and told stories of excitement and hope,
suffering and endurance, humour and escapism, fear and disillusionment in the words of those involved in the
horrors of the Western Front. [...] the singing was powerful,
the sound quality was excellent and the words were crystal clear." Malcolm Duff

"Warmest congratulations to you (and all concerned) on last night's Celtic Connections Ypres performance. A real masterpiece of production - heart rending and warming
and fun all at once. One of the very best events I've ever attended"
"We've been to a couple of Celtic Connections concerts over the past few days. Most memorable was 'Far, Far from Ypres,' a tribute to the soldiers of WWI"

"We visited the Burns Monument today which was open to the public as part of the #Edinburgh Doors Open Day. It was great to see this beautiful building up close but the real surprise was finding a fantastic Scottish folk band performing inside." That just happened to be us - Ragged Glory.
"Just back from a smashing 'Ragged Glory' gig. Great songs really well sung. Great atmosphere at the venue. Bought the CD and uploaded it on my Ipod"
Kenny McDonald, 'Soopna'
"Ragged Glory was a revelation!
Fabulous singing and harmonies, brilliant choice and variety of song types and tremendous energy and confidence." Ian Walker
"Ragged Glory are highly musically competent, performing gorgeous vocal harmonies and simple guitar melodies. They are more interested in music for its heritage and folklore rather than achieving artistic perfection. All in all, Ragged Glory present an informal set that exhibits some beautiful traditional folk – and fans of that genre will be rewarded for their diligence." August 2012 - Dauphin Reviews
