Welcome to Ragged Glory's Website
Ragged Glory met and began playing in 2006 at Nitten Folk Club, Newtongrange and had their sell out debut at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2010.
This was followed by two further sell out shows during last year's Fringe, earning Ragged Glory a 'Sell Out Garland' for the second year running.
The debut CD, 'Quiet Joys' was released in 2010, receiving great reviews. The CD consists of songs written by; Phil Spector, Dougie Maclean, Karine Polwart, Robert Burns, Stan Rogers, Rowland Salley, Jim Weatherston and Charlie Milne.
Ragged Glory have always said that their purpose was to have fun, and they found that singing good songs with strong harmonies helped towards that end.
Helped by the fact that May and Jim are married to each other, the friendships made at Nitten Folk Club brought the rest of the band members together where they discovered that they all gelled musically. The rest, as they say, is history!
